Thad Werts
Thad is 25 years old. His hometown is Newberry, SC where he grew up hunting deer and doves from the time he could walk. When he was 12 years old he was given a Remington 870 Wingmaster twenty gauge and six months later shot his first limit of doves. A few months after his 13th birthday he killed his first deer with a Browning A-Bolt .308 and has been hooked ever since. While receiving his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina, Thad was introduced to waterfowl hunting and fell in love immediately. After graduation Thad purchased a Labrador retriever named Drake with his first paycheck from his full time job. As they spent many days training together and hanging out in the house they formed a bond as friends and hunting partners. Thad now lives in Chapin, SC at the heart of Lake Murray and hunts ducks and geese as often as possible. These days Thad is hunting doves, ducks, and deer on average four days a week during the seasons. In the off season he is planting fields, preparing blinds, installing stands, and training Drake as much as possible on weekends they are not involved in retriever competitions

Jake Sanders
Jake’s home club is the Wild Wings Duck Club near Holly Grove, Arkansas where he is currently the Treasurer. He started Duck hunting in west Tennessee in 1994 at a well-known club formerly named “Swamp Creek”. Born to Nashville Tennessee and graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2009. He take’s pride in hunting and has been blessed with hunting opportunities. From the Fighting Bayou in Mississippi, Green Tree reservoirs throughout Arkansas, hunting the foothills of the Ozark Mountains and up into to the Dakotas; he like schasing ducks from the pot holes of the prairie into the delta with a twist of salt water duck hunts in-between.
Usually starting in North Dakota near the latter part in October and into the first half in November, he has a good time talking to "uneducated" ducks in the pot hole region of North Dakota or really putting a "trick" on them in Arkansas with the occasional hunt occurring in Port O' Conner Texas for that salt water, short sleeve fun. He depends on his equipment to provide ease during my hunts. Duck hunting is a passion in his life and it fuels one of his fires. I take each morning’s hunt seriously and have come to the realization that duck hunting is 365 days a year; not harvesting but rather preparing.
Labrador training plays an important role during his off-season. He depends on his dogs to get his kill, bring it to his hand, hide and trick 'em again. How fast can we get into a field/timber hole, hide, take a limit and get out so ducks can go back to feeling right at home eating invertebrate proteins, finding complex carbohydrates during a cracking cold or enjoying seclusion and thermal cover for the pair bond.
Duck hunting like a gentleman since 1994.

Wisconsin
Rick Schmitz
Rick got his start hunting quail in central Kansas with his dad and uncle at the age of 12 and has been hooked ever since. He bought his first boat when he was 15 and has been duck hunting ever since - spending countless hours in the field scouting and hunting just to make sure everyone that he takes hunting has a enjoyable hunt..
This passion of duck hunting has led Rick to start a small kennel and guide service in northeastern Wisconsin in his early 20's, which has been (and still is) just a hobby more than a job.
Rick is a strong supporter of introducing kids to hunting and enjoys seeing the smiles on their faces when their first animal is harvested. He is an active member of the local Ducks Unlimited chapter as well as the local Pheasants Forever chapter, where he serves as Youth Coordinator.
Rick is an avid outdoorsman, hunting anything from squirrels to whitetail. Most weekends you can find Rick, his wife Emily, and their two kids out in the field near their home in Appleton, Wisconsin
